The focus of my work is Craniosacral therapy.
Shiatsu massage can be added to Craniosacral therapy sessions.
Thai floor massage is available as a comprehensive massage session with a craniosacral finish.
Choosing session length and modality
First Craniosacral session: 1.5hr
Ongoing Craniosacral sessions: 1hr
Shiatsu & Craniosacral combo session: 1.5hr
Thai Floor Massage: 1.5 hr
If you are seeking Craniosacral therapy, your first session will need to be 1.5 hr to allow for a thorough intake process.
Subsequent sessions are around 1hr.
This work is very deep and most of the time I find that about 50 minutes of it is the optimal time per session. The releasing and integration will continue well after.
This might be the choice for you if you are ready to go deep in addressing a physical or emotional health concern, whether chronic or acute, a difficult new diagnosis, symptoms that have been resistant to other treatments, etc.
If you are seeking a combination of Shiatsu and Craniosacral therapy, the 1.5 hr session is suggested.
Such a session will include about 20 minutes of Shiatsu, which will open up the body for receiving Craniosacral therapy.
These two modalities are very potent together. This is a good option if you are seeking the deep benefits of Craniosacral work, but know that you have energetic stagnation, or just have a hard time relaxing quickly into deep work. These modalities combine into a deeply rejuvenating experience, and can be a wonderful part of your ongoing wellness maintenance.
Receiving a Thai floor massage session is an excellent way to open the joints, stretch the muscles and tendons, tone the internal organs, and overall improve energy flow and balance. The effects of this session are deep rejuvenation, relaxation, and overall physical and mental well-being. Excellent for anyone who uses their body a lot, such as athletes, dancers, bodyworkers, martial artists, people working in the trades etc...
Sessions for Children
Craniosacral therapy can be of great benefit to children and teens. Young humans, especially those with non-typical neurology (on the Autism spectrum), those that experienced a traumatic birth, have endured prolonged stress, falls, injuries, surgeries, or emotional trauma, can receive many healing benefits from this gentle and safe modality.
Light Shiatsu can similarly be integrated into sessions with children. This can provide a very grounding and relaxing effect, and assist children to sink into receiving Craniosacral work.
Depending on age, sessions for children can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes. The accompanying parent is, of course, welcome to stay in the treatment room with the child. Being the intuitive beings that they are, children often happily welcome the treatments after the initial introduction period.
I am happy to answer any questions regarding the possibility of this modality being of benefit to your child.
